A couple weeks ago I was so very at my patience limit with FF. It was hanging all the time. I finally backed up my bookmarks, made sure I had all my saved passwords and totally uninstalled everything having to do with FF. Then I did a fresh install, imported my bookmarks. So far all (knock, knock, knock) is fine again.

It was a PIA to redo the tweaks I must have, but it was worth the effort. I'll add that the add-on Flashblocker is one I didn't bother (yet) to reinstall. So that I don't know if it contributed to my strong desire to toss the pc out the window...
