I agree that there was plenty of time to get a settlement done using POR7 as a starting point--time isn't the issue.

But the reason it seems impossible for a settlement to be announced tomorrow (Monday) is: Volume. There hasn't been any, and I don't believe a major announcement like that could have been totally locked down.

Yes, I know we're dealing with an I.T. case which may keep some people quiet, and yes--in some instances info can be kept secret: A Disney acquisition happened a couple of years ago where there was no leakage of info (i.e. low volume) days/weeks beforehand.

But this case involves numerous parties and law firms. The sheer number of people "in the know" would make it almost impossible to keep big info under wraps. I'm sure our EC and SG are above reproach and would never breathe a word to anyone. But some of the others involved are a totally different matter.

Unethical, lying weasels--accustomed to breaking the law and getting away with it--are not going to keep their traps shut--I.T. allegations, or not. IMO.
