Guilty as charged ...
Anyway, I bring up Rambus because: a) They are a company that resorted to lawsuits as their core technology failed to win in the marketplace.
b) The SI RMBS thread was full of passionate believers on both sides of the fence ... and the rhetoric got pretty extreme at times.
c) The DRAMurai who opposed Rambus didn't have a squeaky clean record of their own. In fact, the FTC even found them guilty of price-fixing. Did that help Rambus' case? No, but it sure did wonders for RMBS' volatility.
Bottom line is that I see lots of similarities here. You're just playing your part by calling the Intel advocates "morally corrupt," and I'm just playing my part as the "paid Intel shill." The more things change, the more they stay the same. Nothing is new under the sun.
