Careful teecee, someone might accuse you of being one of those well paid Wall Street professionals...LOL...you know, the one's like many of the Enron & Worldcom shareholders had wished they had called on the carpet...shareholders are part owners of a company and have every right to question MAJOR issues that have an effect on the value of the company. The answer isn't always "If you don't like it sell your shares", It's like spending 3 years restoring a car and then saying "take it to the scrap yard, I don't like how the paint color turned out"....you have decide whether to try and fix it or sell it to someone else. Sometimes it takes more time and discussion before you decide.
It might be easier for you to dismiss the compensation as you constantly see the big money that is paid to CEO's, CFO', COO's, Presidents...I am nearly certain that you know some fatcats on Wall Street that you have said to yourself or other "that guy doesn't bring a thing to the table how is he making that kind of coin"? The question is , what is their WORTH to the company? My opinion has always been PRODUCE results first, then pay the big bonuses for that production. Some here will say well you have to pay them the big bucks immediately and ongoing in order to keep good talent. Well if they aren't making acceptable profits are they really good talent or just somebody that everyone is comfortable with. Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean they are idiots, wrong, or should essentially be called babies (per your insinuation of crying). Just an opinion.
