As with pumpers and bashers, you can certainly expect that court case will bring out the SOX bashers. But have you read some on the inane discussions the jury had during "deliberations"? As we all know, 1 jury trial does not a precedent make . . . although I never really thought this silly law would help. There are already laws on the books, which are not enforced, so why would another one make any difference? This law was passed for the same reason most are, to appease the masses and keep them in line by putting on a politcal show like they give a $hit about any of us. It is just a lot of hot air, and interestingly, has proven, ironically, to be quite the windfall for the Big 4 and other accounting firms . . . so those campaign contributions will probably go up, and keep that law on the books for the foreseable future . . .
