To many of the NSS diehards, counterfeiting stock and naked shorting mean the same thing. I heard they changed the terminology because many people are not familiar with the concept of naked shorting and couldn't relate to their cause. When a person hears the word "counterfeiting", he usually knows right away it's illegal activity. Their intential misuse of terminology makes them look like bigger fools to those who know something about investing.
