Frudakis already indicated some time ago that the company has lawyers who prepare and handle the patent applications with the Patent Office. The final rejections would have been mailed to his lawyers who would then interpret the consequences of the rejections and advise Frudakis accordingly. Given the short time periods involved and affording Frudakis the benefit of the doubt, it could very well have been he had not yet received the lawyer reports on those rejections prior to the meeting.
