I don't either. The mounting hardare and video cards etc., are in the area of easily executed details, but thanks for your ideas. Cost is not an issue. The whole thing at a most outrageous estimate would be covered by last Friday's second AMZN scalp, several times over. The one thing I think I want but don't know how difficult the software will be is the ability to switch four monitors each of which is displaying a different chart style, but all for a single issue, to switch them all to another issue, say from AMZN to SPY, pretty much instantly with hopefully just the keystrokes of the desired symbol. Somehow all slaved together. I have no doubt of the technical possibility. Aint nothin' impossible in the digital world.
I'm getting along pretty well just the way I am, a bit of cash is coming in every now and then, so one of the basic options is doing not much. Problem I didn't mention is that I may be moving to another city but don't know when. That will mean another office/media room, furniture, etc., etc. Gotta design/build that sucker. My daughter and son-in-law finished a new home nearly a year ago which includes a big media room with a 103-inch TV. Shazam! I've been to the Cowboys stadium in Arlington a couple of times, and while it is amazing with its own monitor that stretches 60-yards, between the opposite 20-yard lines, one can actually see football and baseball better in Robert and Lou's digs.
Back to the trading stuff, I've got to settle on portrait or landscape for different monitors, and how much split screen, etc.
What it gets down to is how much and exactly what detailed indicators I will actually find worth while or just in my way. Daughter's house is 9600 sq ft and to me that's just tooooo much for three people, two adults and one adult handicapped son. They entertain a lot, big parties. Not me.
Maybe I'd rather just take time out and get on the road in my Jetta diesel for a few weeks. Newly does it allatime. Why not me? Lots of places in this country I haven't seen up close yet. 35,000 feet above doesn't do it. I've been toying with gettin' another private plane again. Couldn't pass the medical exam for a license although I'm fit as a fiddle and so would just have to fly illegally.
