Seagate technologies is to give a news report on thursday about its operations in Thailand. According to company spokesman, Their operations might not be affected as much due to stockage of critical components, but could see a major drop in global hard drives in 1Q 2012 since Nidec has halted operations that produce the hard drive motors.
Western Digital has updated what is happening in Thailand and their second factory located in Nanvanakorn has been flooded. They have a conference call for wednesday.
