jeffreyxyz: I don't know what Qualcomm's licenses state, but in IDCC's license with LG the Licensed Patents specifically includes future patents that IDCC may obtain as a result of an acquisition during the license period.

“Licensed Patents” mean all currently issued patents, and patents that issue from applications filed prior to or during the Term of this Agreement, including patents issuing from divisionals, continuations, and continuations-in-part of such applications, and reissue and reexamination patents thereof, which InterDigital Group or any of their Affiliates at any time during the Term owns (including ownership as a result of acquisition)."

JeffreyHF, that is very unlikely. I am sure that any lawyer at any company that agreed to license future acquired IP would not only be fired, but might even be disbarred. I am sure there are clauses in any applicable agreements between QCOM and Nokia that exclude future aquired IP.
