Yup that's a different perspective. Unfortunately, it doesn't remotely resemble the (speculative) timeline set forth by the media/leaks. Two months from now, someone will post something to the effect that it hasn't really been 5 months.........(insert justification here)

To put this process in a different perspective, let's say IDCC waited to announce its' strategic alternative till Sept. 16th, saying that for the past 2 months companies have been contacted to guage interest in the company and to provide them with the appropriate information to do their due diligence. Initial bids would be due Sept 23rd. The point is, the strategic alternative for IDCC is only 3 weeks old, not 3 months. To expect that this thing would be signed, sealed and delivered in this 3 week period, is unrealistic in my opinion. The fact that the process is still ongoing, is a sign that a bid is either very close to IDCC's threshold, or has passed this threshold value and is in a heated battle between 2 or more entities. JMO
