Journal of Surgical Oncology Articles Cover PV-10

Two recent papers published in volume 104 issue 4 of the Journal of Surgical Oncology cover the positive results seen in clinical studies of intralesional PV-10 for metastatic melanoma. The first article, titled "Local and Intralesional Therapy of In-Transit Melanoma Metastases", (page 392) reports excellent clinical results for intralesional Rose Bengal (PV-10) and evidence that PV-10 promotes a specific anti-tumor immune system response.

The second paper, titled "Current and Planned Multicenter Trials for Patients With Primary or Metastatic Melanoma", (pages 433-434), reports that PV-10 appears to be a powerful agent for local destruction of a number of tumor types with relatively few systemic side effects.
