I am curious what the board thinks will happen to the PPS should they come out and say that the ZFN worked to modify the genes but the outcome was not pure spider silk.
I know there will be some people who refuse to think the ZFN can fail (or fail to give the desired outcome). Failing is a real possibility here. There are a ton of postings pushing the most likely outcome as success. I feel it will work myself but in the end I am still just an investor looking to make money and not just support an idea.
I think the expectation for success could lead to a great buying op if a minor failure happens.
As it stands now we have a marketable product and I think the PPS reflects that (and the fact that we have not marketed it yet). I also think the PPS has some of the "it cant fail" speculation in it.

My question is not about failure. I am more aiming this towards a PR that reads

"We have a lab and our first customer order for XX tons of monster silk which will begin delivery in the 1st qtr of 2012.
Our ZFN insert appeared to work but the silk was not pure spider silk. While we wait for results for round 2 insertions we have researched our first round and concluded we needed to try a few different insertions to attempt to remove the final silkworm DNA"

I know this would cause a sell off but would our PPS return to the .09 area after the smoke clears or would it drop and stay down?

IMO this is the type of conversations that should be discussed here. (as opposed to the constant he said she said fighting)
