My opinion

I have tried to tell all of you as a business person these companies are not about to let IDCC patents get in hands that will cause them serious problems and lots and lots of money.

There will be strong competition for this aresnal of patents that was being worked on before some of these companies was even in the handset business. I believe these patents are core essential and will command a huge rate for LTE 4G. Not only a huge rate but can save a ton on cross license money. I have asked others to provide with a 3% royalty rate for LTE how much money that would garnish over the life of LTE. If its 3% I think it will be astronomical amount. These are the crown jewels I think and IDCC was working on these patents for many a year, and they are now about to monetize them.


Hence the bidding will be more agressive for these patents than the Nortel patents as these patents can if I am not mistaken stop a company dead in their tracks if they don't pay the owner the going rate.
