I think there's enough money available to make everyone happy. Everyone take a little less than face value, settle this mess, be happy and move on.

Incredible greed factor? I think you're wrong. Preferreds are named preferreds for something. As I didn't want to depend on other's (aka preferreds shareholders) generosity to see a payout in my commons, I simply swapped part of my investment from commons to preferreds.

I have a question for all those who claim preferreds should 'take a little less'... Can you put a number to what 'a little less' means to you?
