mschere: Here's a snippet about HSDPA from a call I had with Janet last Febuary when InterDigital was in Cannes. We are supposed to have an HSDPA ASIC available in Q3 (which starts a week from tomorrow).

8. I asked her about the note in the HSDPA reference sheet on InterDigital’s website that said, ‘HSDPA ASIC available Q3 2005.’ She said that they were currently looking for a chip partner. It might be Infineon, or it might be another firm, or InterDigital may produce the chip itself. She said part of the purpose of being in Cannes this week was to talk to potential HSDPA chip partners.

As far as who is the chip partner, it's not Icera. They are using TTPCom.

Perhaps it will be Infineon after all.
