Get the impression that the investing public just doesn't believe a thing that our CEO says anymore? After years of making grandiose promises, and subsequently driving this investment right off the cliff, it really appears that Matt hasn't realized the damage to his credibility.
He just continues to do business as usual. He's not going to "quit", per the recent PR? Of course not - we are his meal ticket. Although, if he individually quits, he still gets a fat severance.
His self-absorption seems to prevent him from realizing that he is becoming a hindrance to the company. When you have a figurehead that is viewed as untrustworthy, it taints the company image as a whole. When Matt took the company public, he lost the right to simply do and say whatever he wants without accountability. He must vaguely realize this, thus the heavy monetary penalty he imposed in the event that someone were to wake up and desire a change in leadership. His actions in this regard underscore who is really the priority here - and contrary to the recent PR, it is not the investors.
It's time to be honest - Matt has lost the ability to inspire anyone to invest here. When his lips move now, people instantly become skeptical, and the PPS usually drops. His ego will never allow him to realize this, especially with a group of sycophants always willing to tell him how great he is.
I am waiting patiently for the end-game here. Since I've already mourned my loss with CBAI, I simply want the satisfaction of being able to say I was right about Matt and the public CBAI supporters. They will be long gone by that time, but it will still give me satisfaction. I'll be STAYING TUNED for that day, and it looks to be closer than I thought.
