I'm assuming your question is in regard to.... his final line?

The only fear I have is that the board will not accept a legitimate offer in the $85 to $100 range. A price tag that I am willing to accept.

imo....he's scared that the company may not sell and have his quick exit....I've seen a few others that have that fear....so I guess I have to give it some credence?
