I want you to get a pencil and a pad and draw a simple sketch of a car. If you can do it with out making changes your good.
That is why they make prototype, to see where there need changes and improvements. This is the same when they say after they improve on production methods they can mass produce as the necessary start-up does not have to be repeated.
