honest? "Ugh, we got a few diamond claims that we control indirectly or have some sort of handshake arrangement on, and we got this race car ( i've always wanted to sponsor a race car) and i could sure use a few million dollars. Is anyone interested in buying enough shares that we can all get rich off of you?"

Somehow i don't think it would have enticed as many suckers if they were honest.

There are no good stocks, only good trades.
