My best suggestion would be to check the company's website more often for stuff like financials. They don't tend to put it in the investor updates or PR's since they don't file with the SEC. But, the financials have been out for a while now.

Yes, no Canada launch info was a bit disappointing but from what Andy said, Greenwood is editing some of the packaging artwork so they hadn't started to put them in stores yet. Who knows exactly what they are changing so we don't really know how long that would take. Editing the artwork might also effect production and packaging as well (as in, repackaging all of what the might have already created). That adds more time to the whole process. Hopefully the launch happens in the next week or so.

Still, all of these updates are just that, updates. They just let us know what's going on within the company. It's pretty amazing we even get that. The other two penny's I'm investing in don't do anything even close to what BIEL provides. One in particular hasn't updated its shareholders since June, and all emails each person has sent has not been responded to.

Patents might not seem important, but business in general is becoming a patent war (Google just bought Motorola Mobility for their 17,000 patents) to either sue or scare the competition into not being competition. It's actually nice to know (long term here) that if things DO kick off for BIEL, they will be covered in the right areas to make money and increase profit.

BIEL may not seem great, but it's a ray of sunshine when I compare to others I do DD on or have money in.
