What I'm not clear on is what patents remained with mobility after Moto sold off infra pieces of their business?

The two big deals were the split from Motorola Solutions and the sale of the wireless infrastructure business. It really wouldnt have made much sense to have given the bulk of the "good" wireless patents to Motorola Solutions. If nothing else, we know that Jha would have had a good appreciation of the value of those patents.

The sale of the wireless infrastructure business to Nokia expressly excluded the infrastructure patents.

Motorola retains the iDEN business, substantially all the patents related to its wireless network infrastructure business and other selected assets.

Am I missing another deal where they might have sold off the patents?

Also, in the boards defense, some analysts seem to hold a very low opinion of Motorola's patents as well. I simply dont get it.
