RobC,

I didn't realize that the energy efficient homes come complete with electricity generating solar already installed. So I thought your comment about it being a low cost item for the homeowner as not being accurate. Actually, I have a friend that installed solar panels for electricity generation and it was a large expense, but as you stated they can either sell the extra electricity back to the power company (but not even close to the rate he pays) or accumulate credits (which is at the rate, so he chose this option as the better deal). I also know someone from Connecticut, who first built the most energy efficient home in Vermont and then New Hampshire with ICF (insulated concrete forms)foundations and SIPs (structured insulated panels), but they only used solar for heating and hot water generation...please let me/us know if you come up with any kind of burn rate metric for AEHI, as at least two of the monthly salaries concern me of them running out of money before approvals and any power plant is built, although your insight into what will happen once the plant is built makes sense. I also hope for you and your neighbors sake that many jobs are provided! Thanks again, Stockinvestor
