Actually, I was surprised it wasn't a faster connection than it is. I had Charter cable before and it was quite fast, but this is no faster than my wireless broadband was when it had a good connection.

No, I don't allow anything to automatically happen on this trading machine. I usually go through the list of recommended updates and pick and choose. I did another update after I got this cable, so I don't think that was what prompted the alert. 'Tis a mystery. . .LOL.
