Not sure I would know how to poo-poo even if I wanted to smile Seriously, the $300M might be money well-spent – or it might not be. My point is that the OEMs are quite capable of making up their own minds about which CPU to use, and no amount of promotional money is going to brainwash them into choosing any particular brand.

I have to disagree on the all-important cost metric. From information published to date, Centrino is most definitely not a low-cost alternative for the designers of mobile-computing devices. Regards, Dew
