This morning I installed MS update KB2607712. Next time I turned on the computer I was alerted that a new active network was found and to choose a name for this network. I named it "intrusive" then went to Control Panel, Network Connections and saw that in addition to my normal cable connection being active, the "1394 Connection" was also showing as connected. I don't believe this was the case before, but not totally sure, and have no idea what that 1394 does. I saw no connection named "intrusive".

When I tried to disable this 1394 Connection it would not disconnect until I unchecked the only box checked in Properties, Internet Protocol TCP/IP.

This connection says it allows your computer to access resources on a Microsoft network. What does this mean exactly? Does it also give MS full access to resources on my computer? Help. . .TIA
