I know Dr. Casey through a common interest in racehorses. I have seen his success bringing back racehorses from career ending injuries and win. Horses are a really good model for human injury (they are actually harder on themselves post injury than a typical human patient) and he has been successful in completely repairing horses with bad bowed tendons to their peak performance. This is huge. I can't even imagine how this would affect human medicine, but I can tell you that this is revolutionary and is defining science for equine athletes. This will greatly impact human medicine. It is truly transformational technology. Instead of having an involved surgical repair, or a transplant, or using materials from cadavers, you could have injuries like rotator cuff injuries, cruciate ligaments and the like repair with your own body.

Never mind the fact that just the use in equine athletes alone is enough to have a great business.
