The 2nd site, casey eye institute in oregon, is still in limbo. I recently was in contact with them. This is from the most recent email I have. Dated 9/1/11

"We have not yet begun the stem cell trial at our site. Dr. Peter Francis unexpectedly had to go on leave in mid-June and we are not sure when he will be returning. We have contacted Advanced Cell Technology to find out how they want us to proceed with the trial, but unfortunately we have not heard a response from them. Until then, the trial is basically in a hiatus at our site. "
