Note to the board...

As many here have shared their real life experience (good & bad) with this board I feel compelled to share mine. On June 8th I had quadruple bypass surgery at St. Francis hospital in New York. I am not writing asking for sympathy put to share the incredible dangers that lie within us. I am 42 years old, that right 42, never had chest pains or any other signs. My doctor prescribed some cholesterol meds, about a week later I started to have weird sensations under my arms, the side effects of the medication list muscle weakness. I called my doctor who was skeptical that it was a heart problem but instructed me to go to a cardiologist the next day. The Cardiologist also ruled out the heart as the cause for my sensations. He did although take an EKG and Echo cardiogram which showed "abnormalities" he quickly scheduled a stress test. The test showed some type of blockage in the lower artery. I soon after scheduled an angiogram which indicated two 100% blocked arteries and one 90% blockage.

I stress to this board if you are over 40 years old and have never had a stress test call your doctor today. I am a very lucky guy. I nearly left my 5 year Jake without a father and wife a widow. My doctor told me there was no medical reason that i was able to function and live with these blockages, he said medically i should be dead and miraculously I only did minor damage to my heart, losing only 5% function

I admire this board and the posters on it. I don't want to hear about another case like Yaya, If he had the stress test he may have been alive today. So please you owe to your love ones to go out and take this remarkable test.
