I wonder now for 1 1/2 years why FDIC is a party with the GSA?

OTS seized WMB (together with WMI, unjustified) and gave it to FDIC. JPM bought in "Good Faith" what was offered by FDIC and they are (might be) off the hook.

...but FDIC had never the rights to sell assets of WMI.

Now, even when the author of the GSA is WMI (by BR), then why is FDIC entitled to be an active party at this elegal deal ?
