Up to 200 to 300 miles from the eye of a cat 3 storm will be seeing trees and residential power grids put under stress...

Large wind bands spanning out can have higher wind gusts than can be estimated...

Wind bands will be stressing trees with an opposite direction than they grow to survive against...

Hard to estimate storm surge from the wind band rotation until it is moving over any given area...
