tc, It looks good but I think it is over my head. I found the web site of the developer and looked it over. http://www.memtest86.com/ It looks too complex, and I don't think the test result would be usable at my level.
I have 256meg installed and the System Properties shows 256. Everything works fine, but sometimes when I boot up in the morning I get fatal exception. Today I did and when I pressed a key I got "Kernel32 caused invalid page fault in module USER.EXE". I made that go away and I got "Autochk caused invalid page fault in USER>EXE". I had to reboot and after that it has worked fine all day. I'm using Cacheman with the multitasking setting. I would probably think seriously of upgrading to WinXP, but this PC is 4 years old next month and a new one might be 12 months away if we could hit oil.:)
