He is must be talking about the PATENT posrtion of the MMI deal.

Not the CASH (3.5 Billion) or the handset business.

Seems all of these writers are just pulling figures from thin air.

Didn't he also say that the IDCC patents were 4 % more valuable than Nortel??

What does that mean and where on earth is getting that figure from?

We will know what IDCC is worth when someone buys them.

I recently traded my car in and told the guy it was worth much more than that ...he said "so go sell it to that person and bring me back the check, I'll put it towards the new car!"
