(COMTEX) A: Ericsson says fully capable of meeting expected 35 bln skr costs in 2003

STOCKHOLM, Jan 08, 2003 (AFX-UK via COMTEX) -- LM Ericsson AB said it it has
the funds to meet costs of up to 41 bln skr, and hence is fully capable of
meeting loan repayments of 22 bln skr and restructuring charges amounting to a
further 12 bln skr in 2003, reported Dagens Industri.

In addition to the near 35 bln skr in costs this year -- amounting to half
Ericsson's cash pile -- the company also intends to inject a further unspecified
amount into its loss making Sony Ericsson joint venture.

But Ericsson's press manager Ase Lindskog said the company will be able to cope.

"We estimate we'll have a paying-preparedness of 41 bln skr in the end of 2003.
We think that's a good paying-preparedness", said Lindskog, reported Dagens
Industri.
