An additional response to 'legitimate claims question' would also include the 'above-board' response to the Float - take the conservative, yet open, high road. They officially changed it to 92 million to avoid any confusion, when the 'active float' is still around 16 million. IMO, only a company with a 'long-term' goal would 'potentially damage' themselves by changing the float to such a higher percentage than is actively traded.
