Jack:
If you look at the deployment of any product. I don't care what it is: trucks, snow shovels, or bounce houses; it is typically only done in the highest concentration of market users.
I am not sure what area of the USA you live in but if you go to the San Fransisco Bay area you can't go about two city blocks without finding a WiFi hot spot. Likewise if you go to let's say, Mojave, you'll be hard pressed to find anything better than dial-up for 1,000 square miles.
It would be my assumption that deployment will initially occur in the highest market concentration. I chose the Northeastern US as an example as it is very high. Let's not forget that the margin of operations is of critical concern as that has been one of the attributes of the stratellite over current services.
Yet still, there appears to be great focus on the US market by posters on this board. I believe that is normal as most of us tend to place things in relative terms. The strat's developement is intended for Country's that do not have a well developed network for high speed. It is a nimble, rapid deployment approach.
Give me some time and I will produce coverage examples in places such as Australia, Europe and South America. Great questions. Keep them coming.
