Dan:It is certainly a good and valid point that IDCC continues to invent and innovate and have done so for several years since Nortel ceased to exist in terms of active operations, and from what we hear IDCC is working on important cutting edge solutions for video compression, MTM technology, network of network technology, and other bandwidth crunch solutions.

How much offensive value this IP will have for the acquirer remains to be seen--in some scenarios it may only have defensive value for a MAD truce (mutual assured destruction) and offensive value only against those that don't cross license in such a scenario.

If there is an IP spinoff as I have suggested as one scenario, there may be more opportunities to offensively monetize the IP--and it obviously depends on who is the acquirer.

For this and many reasons I think that whoever gets IDCC will be getting a bargain even at the $15B I think Google will end up paying (hope I'm right)

as for the SAT question, uh, I'm gonna pass since I was told and promised I would NEVER EVER never have to take such testing again after the PSAT SAT and LSATs unless I wanted to go to more grad school in which case I could take the GREs or MCATs or some other such testing but I'm hoping to be able to retire early with IDCC $$$ and only do what I want to do (travel, play poker, par TAY, chase young girls although as I get older I'm not as fast as I used to be)! lol
