No word of any leases being bought, or attempted. Eugene did not even show at investor conference where they were supposed to try and raise capital.

Mine is shot down and has been - never operated at a profit - too much ash etc.

JMHO - but I think it was just a shell play - take an old mine shut in early 1990s. Say at current prices worth rehabilitating and opening up agains. Produce just enough activity for a couple of years to line his pockets with a yearly R/S and ride into the sunset.
