Any thoughts about the possible growing need for basic appliances, etc.? Are there companies that derive an important income from the GDT? Does the GDT include such appliances, like washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, dishwasher, microwaves, etc.? Appliances seem to be something that would be high on the list for purchase.

I read a short review on Whirlpool (WHR) http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:WHR . After settling their litigation, they appear to be at a 52 week bottom and well positioned for a return.
