I would expect Google to be in pursuit of IDCC. The first reason is patents. How nice it would be for Google to get its share & use of Nortel's patents by taking the place of IDCC in its consortium that bought the Nortel patents. In addition IDCC has some pretty good patenst of its own. Further Goggle would become the owner of any patents IDCC has use of although not ownership. The fact that Samsung sems interested and perhaps Apple too will mean the price to buy should be pretty good. Apple, in particular would love to stop Googel from getting the IDCC patents as Google is Apple's number 1 competitor. So I look forward to a rousing bidding war and we long time shareholders will finally benefit as we should.
