The federal government has renewed the ecoENERGY Retrofit – Homes program, an initiative that helps Canadians save on home improvements and energy costs while protecting the environment.

“With this program, Canadians can make their homes more energy-efficient and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Canada,” said Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Joe Oliver.

Until March 31, 2012, homeowners may be eligible to receive grants of up to $5,000 to make their homes more energy-efficient.

The program could help up to 250,000 Canadian homeowners improve their homes’ energy efficiency and generate as much as $4 billion in economic activity across Canada.

Prior to Budget 2011, the Government of Canada provided retrofit incentives to over half a million Canadians.

Hopefully WDRP will have a marketable MCMHU before Mar 12 2012. Some lucky Canadians may be able to take advantage of this program. The biggest problem for gas or electric tankless is heating the water to the desired temp from a cold water source. I believe the MCMHU will provide the new technology required to allow for better and more efficent cold water heating. JMO
