beattheclock, I wondered the same thing.
I posed the scenario to my online broker - Harrisdirect. The last trade price before trading was halted would be used for the value of the option. The option would expire on the normal expiration date. I asked them if the expiration date would be extended if trading were halted but not so. Hope this is helpful.
