CONT'D- QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q- Why was the Sam arb posponed?
A- Bill M.- the Sam arb Panel wanted the benefit of the Nok decision- needed a delay to determine what the process would be going forward. The ICC is a very tight run ship- will not talk to even the parties or their lawyers until the decision is handed down.

Q- Earlier you stated that we were in negotiations with about 20 companies. How will that tie in with the growth that is expected in WCDMA?
A- Bill M.- we expect to participate fully with a strong take up of HSDPA in '06 & '07.

Q-If we indeed get a large influx of cash, would the company consider paying a special cash dividend?
A- Harry C.- The total board of directors would look at all of the options available and try to determine a use that would best enhance shareholder value. Among those options are buybacks, mergers and aquisitions and a special cash dividend.

Q- When is the perception of IDCC going to change from being a company that beats other companies over the head with a patent club lawsuit, a tax collector/litigator/arbitrator, to one that helps other companies create value?
A- Bill M./Brian K.- there is some residual effect from our 2G experience. Our participation in the 3G standards bodies is starting to turn that perception around. IDCC is more respected in 3G than 2G. Mark L.- the General Dynamics deal is also helping turn that perception around. Harry C.- Companies made millions of dollars off IDCC from technology they stole from us.If they would pay the royalties that are due us, we wouldn't be suing them. We have 5 or 6 analysts covering the company with 5 or 6 more circling. People are on the fence and don't want to make a commitment. A favorable decision on Nokia will change perceptions and push people off the fence. the future of the company is ahead of us not behind.
