Sounds like the best way to overcome this problem is to fill the helium cell completely to achieve lift on 2560 lbs. If 1/9 of a filled helium cell can lift 284 lbs then we can lift 2560 lbs by filling up the entire cell. (2560/284 = 9 aprox) However, as the stratellite moves up into the atmosphere the volume of helium will expand and eventually burst the helium cell(s). By installing a control valve the helium could be released as the stratellite increases altitude thus avoiding the increasing volume problem. This seems like a good idea, but what a huge waste of helium. Then again, Huff said a stratellite could cost around $25 million--that should cover the cost!
