Well, you know, men only got to rule the world by default -- essentially because we women (obviously superior in all the important ways) didn't take them seriously and simply weren't paying attention (too busy doing the important stuff like giving birth and raising the next generation, thereby ensuring the survival of our species).

Meanwhile men, feeling inferior and inconsequential (having not yet discovered their minor, yet not unimportant, contribution to the propagation of the species), when not engaging in the sport of bashing women over the head with their clubs and dragging them by their hair into their caves, spent their days developing a macho self-image through playing power games, which ultimately led to the creation of a socially unequal and stratified society. The ensuing years of oppression and abuse at the hands of men taught women a not-to-be-forgotten lesson: never underestimate the opposition when sleeping with the enemy!
