Because most of the traders here are dime and quarter flippers. Long term for most of them would be anything over a week.

Most short term trader lose money. The shorter the time frame the more liken to gambling, not investing. People love to gamble!

If you want want to flip stocks, sometime you'll have great gains and other times you'll have great losses. If you wish to go this route good luck - and make sure you have some kind of disciplined approach.
