Just cought up on the last 50 or so posts.
I am glad Joel sticks with his $12 to 15 Billion target, which is much in line with my thinking.
Where we came from a week ago has little relevance as to where we are going.
Years ago, when the company had less on its plate, we talked 'Hockey Stick' and of a stock price in multiple 'hundreds'.
Now we've added LTE, compression, M2M and all those many other fancy gigamashtics and many can't comprehent past $100 to $150.
Just a plain BOD announcement stirred the pot to a doubling in price and three day trading of well over three quarters of all shares outstanding.
Big corporate names surfaced as interested buyers and reasons to own IDCC were identified. Now let's take it from there:
A bidding war may develop escalating the price in 'ten Dollar' increments and no one wants to quit and leave the field to the opposition - we stockholders may like this best.
Now to a buyer who is determined and wants to trunkate this process, what to do?
Answer: take your one time best shot to shock the System. If you are an aapl offer ONE SHARE OF AAPL AND COMMENCE A TENDER at the earliest time possiple. (GOOGLE could do the same.) No cash horde spend - best of all world.
