I am now 95% sure that the new Windows update is the reason for my sudden BSOD lately.

Laptop was working great for several days when a Windows update got past me and installed itself. I tried to uninstall it but it did not seem to work. Tried restore again but I guess the update installed itself as I ended up with a blue screen.

I did F8 and did a Startup Repair again and all is well since. I have changed the settings on Windows Updates to prevent download and install.

Not crazy about not keeping Windows up-to-date but beats geting BSOD.
