Well sadly Yak, the shelters are getting over populated.

Now, you can easily pick up a full breed of anything because so many people have lost their homes and have had to give up their pets.

I'd say about half the Rescue's dogs are not abused or neglected dogs but well treated/trained family pets. Unlike before you didn't know what you were getting.
