MvnAlmn, that's PWTC's original patent of much less lead
using porous reticulated lead plates, with reticulated
foam spacers between the reticulated lead plates. I am
just showing that PWTC is covering everything. Though the
much less using lead is not really mentioned in the patent.
It's implied. Maybe that's how Firefly has gotten away with
its pending patent or even patent status, if it has gotten
that far.

I can't find Firefly Energy's patent. Nor if under
Caterpillar Inc's name.

And in PWTC's abstract it even mentions a coating material,
similar to Firefly's first battery product, of coating the
plates to make them wear and last longer. Though it doesn't
seem to be the purpose PWTC is using it for, but for
greater structural integrity of the reticulated porous
plates. Though that might be the same thing. I don't
know.

When used merely as a coated substrate, its metal will not
take part in the reaction. Then it will have been coated with
a substance, perhaps an oxide or even a different metal.
Its purpose then is to act as a structural substrate. Accordingly,
the structure to be described below is intended
to include both a bare-metal and a coated-metal plate."

The similarities are very strange between the two companies
battery products.
